Texture and Depth
This is what I’m working on. I’m still adding to the composition so it has a ways to go. Looking at this photo, I realize I might have something more interesting happening on the newsprint! The drips from the palette to board are pretty nice.
It’s hard to tell in this picture (made with my phone because using the camera is too intentional), but I have a lot of texture in the one. And I’m pleased by the depth that is developing. I’m learning from each encaustic piece I do - I’m still focusing on the information that results from the painting rather than expecting a successful piece. That’s the phase I’m in.
